2x4 developed an identity for a high-end toy store in the West Village, NYC.

This included packaging design for Kid O blocks, as well as a number of puzzles and bath toys.

“City & County School Wooden Unit Blocks” have three different versions to correspond with the three stages of a childhood learning/development and are used as an active part of class ‘playing is learning’ in the private school “City and Country School” in NYC’s West Village neighborhood.

A small brochure is included in the packaging for the blocks explaining the history and idea of City & County School.

Besides the packaging design we designed their identity. In doing that we developed new graphics

to their existing Kid O logo which was left untouched. We created a logo and identity that could evolve and change shape depending on where it was used. For instance, as an age indicator for packaging and catalogues, as a pattern or as storytelling.
